He's A Live One!!!

I wish I'd had my camera. That's about all I can say. This evening after dinner I got a phone call from our friend Debbie. She knew Ben was out of town and was offering to watch the boys so I could play with my horse. During the conversation the fact that she's going to be out of town for the weekend came up. She needs someone to feed her livestock, and since Angardd lives there it makes sense for us to do it. We agreed to meet down at the barn and she'd show me the ropes, and then hang out with Ezra and Wyatt while I rode. I wound up riding one of her daughters horses instead of my own, which was kinda fun, a very different experience for me.... He's a roping horse.

The part where I was wishing for my camera was when I loped around the end of the arena and saw Ezra in the chute! It was adorable. A benefit to him being in the chute, he was insisting on keeping the gate closed so he was very well contained. He just looked so silly in there... I'm sure that he'll venture that way again. Hopefully next time I'll have the camera handy.

He's started saying, or at least trying to say lots more words and phrases. 'I'll get it' 'Wyatt NO!' 'Piper?' 'Mean Mama' 'Sweet Baby' 'Run!' 'Jump!' 'Go Daddy Go!'(reserved for car rides) are just a few. Tonight's phrase was 'Run! Run! Run!'. This was while he was sitting on the horse.... We did not 'Run! Run! Run!'. He was a little disappointed with that but I think he forgave me when I let him ride OJ back to the barn by himself. (Don't worry, I was walking nervously next to him ready to snatch him from deaths grasp....)

Don't Come In Here I'm Naked!!!!!

I just love the absolute surprise on his face. He usually has such fine tuned camera radar that you can't catch him off guard.

Bubble Boy

Wyatt actually is a little bit scared of bubbles... Silly yes, but look at him! He cried and crawled away when he saw the tub tonight. It was definitely a bath night though~ check out those cheeks. We bought some new baby wash/bubble bath, and it smells awful. So we've been using as much as possible without actually pouring it down the drain so we can justify getting new stuff.

Alright, this is the last video of the night Mom. I'm getting the 'Go to bed already' look from a certain husband of mine. I'm sure I'll be posting more video soon, so y'all come back now ya hear? The Wyoming must be rubbing off on me....

Hat Hair

Wyatt likes my hat. A lot. He actually likes anything that he can make stick to his head. He had a bandanna the other day, which was great fun. Up until he put it on his head and crawled directly into the cupboards..... I was a bad mommy and laughed a little.

Sit 'N Spin

Wyatt is so darn happy. All the time.

Laugh Out Loud

This is proof that Wyatt is always happy. Even when I step on him.

I tried really hard not to shake the camera too much while I was shaking him with my foot. I hope nobody gets sick watching it.

Sleepy Bear

Ben got Ezra this little bear on his last trip to MN. As you can see, Ezra loves it. He wraps it up and makes it take naps..... He was getting ready for bed and was making sure the bear was ready too. Lots of hugs and kisses are required!

Huggies Express

This is the first time I've been able to load video (if it actually works) . This little clip was from when my mom came out to help me the week I had Wyatt. So, we have moved several times since then, and Ezra is much bigger now.

My mom actually put her back out doing this and barely made the drive back home.... The things you'll do for grandchildren eh?

Super Eating Man

Today was Wyatt's first utensil encounter. He was kind of excited about it.

Ezra got worried that he wasn't getting enough food in his mouth and took over.
It can be difficult to change Wyatt's diaper sometimes, because he wiggles so darn much. The trick is to toss a bucket on his head. It actually works. He lays very still and quiet, and when you're all, done pulls the bucket off and goes back to wiggling!

Post?

Wyatt looks like such a big "little guy" when he sits up on his knees. Piper isn't feeling well and she asked me to make a post so that we didn't look like slackers. It took a while to remember how to do it. I haven't posted since we first started this over a year ago. Recently I've been able to be at home more, and it's been really fun getting to hang out with the boys really interact with them. They are growing up so quickly.

This is my brother and my sister's little girl, Shannon. If I just said my brother and my niece you'd all think she was his......

I just think the picture is kinda funny.....

The King

The other morning Ezra woke up earlier than usual, and earlier than me. I could hear him over the baby monitor, and since he was happy and not making too loud of noises that he'd wake Wyatt up, I decided to jump in the shower. If I don't shower before I let him out of his room (it sounds cruel, but it's for his own good) I don't get to until they nap. So, I got in the shower, skipped shaving my legs and hurried out. I guess I didn't hurry enough. He was playing with some of the toys in his closet, and apparently pinched his hand in the door. Yeah, I felt like a great mom. Again. He was VERY upset. He cried, and cried, and cried, and cried, and cried, and cried, and cried. For and hour and a half. I wanted to cry. He wouldn't let me touch it to put anything on it, and wouldn't stop screaming. It was just the skin that got pinched, so I knew nothing was broken, but Lord I'd have liked to cut his little hand off to make that particular pain stop. He wouldn't even use his hand to eat. For those of you who've spent much time around him, that's saying something. The kicker is that the day before, he poked his thumb on the other hand, so they both were out of service.

He walked around with this look on his face, holding both hands like this for THREE DAYS. Dramatic much???? I think so.

We thought Ezra was the biggest ham ever until recently.....

I'm probably going to be in trouble for posting this picture of Ben, but Wyatt is too cute not to.
This was the morning after I had my appendix out, and Ben had been taking pictures of me (which will NEVER be posted). That means I had the camera when he brought Wyatt up to say good morning. He's such a doll.....

Mr. Yuck

This is mostly for my sisters benefit. Her house is so so clean, always. Mine is not. It kinda freaks her out a little bit how much dirt my boys eat.

I dropped an ice cube on the floor, and before I could grab it Wyatt went in for the kill. It was too slippery to pick up, so he just licked it across my nasty kitchen floor.....

Snug As A Bug

Wyatt has cranky moments. They don't typically last long enough to catch them on film (I'm not sure what the 'techy' term for "take-a-picture-on-my-digital-camera" is). Believe it or not, he was really angry when I decided to just roll him up and at least keep him from chewing on my ankles because he was mad. Yeah. That worked. He's so easily amused and distracted. It is nice that he gets goofy like this. It keeps me from sticking the little burrito in the cupboard.

Bugs In A Rug

There is this strange emotion that takes over when I see my boys be sweet to each other like this. I think that only parents probably really 'get' that. OK, maybe Alicia too.... Between the two-year-old tantrums, and teething, I have days that I think I'd like to give them away. I know I've mentioned that before.... Suddenly out of nowhere these two sweet little boys emerge and for a fraction of my day are quiet. That's all it takes to redeem themselves and secure their places at the dinner table.

Both boys love the park, and especially to swing. Ezra likes to go really high, and Wyatt likes to go slow. I'm constantly surprised by how different they are...

This was Ezra's birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma Clifford. His little legs are still too short, but he tries hard and has a lot of fun on it.

Wyatt may very well learn to walk before Ezra learns to ride.
At home he holds onto the seat and Ezra scoots him around the living room on the trike.
Ezra found a set of Ben's safety glasses, and wears them all the time. He looks smart.

This was our second trip to the fair. The first time, I forgot the camera.

The only ride Ezra went on was the mechanical bull. He enjoyed it, but not as much as the old folks running it.... He was their cutest customer to date.
A very good end to a good day.

Daddy Truck

Every morning when Ezra gets up the first thing he says is "Good Morning Honey!" followed very shortly by "Daddy Truck!" Then he spends the rest of the day trying to make me crazy by chanting "Daddy Truck" over and over and OVER!!!!! Hundreds, probably thousands of times a day I hear "Daddy Truck"
It's enough to make you bang your head on the wall.
In an effort to save my sanity Ben gave Ezra a little ride in the Daddy Truck. Excited doesn't begin to describe that kid..... We'd met Ben at the car wash, simply so Ezra could ride back to the house and stop screaming "Daddy Truck" at me. On the way back they passed me, and Ezra could see me out his window. He was very happy with this, but kept yelling at Ben to "GO!!! GO!!! GO!!!" I guess he's a little competitive and wanted to beat us home. (Don't worry, I took this picture at home, not while I was driving down the road!)
So what we thought might pacify his truck addiction has only made him crave it more... It's not only the first thing I hear from him in the morning, but the last at night now as well. Hooray for me.
